If reading this page, chances are you've viewed the Sunburst Convention or a MarcRocs live music webcast / Video Stream. First, let me address the fps (video Frame Per Second) you have viewed. I am capable of near TV quality fps. I've been approached by several streaming companies to affiliate with them to provide high quality Video Streams. Currently I am using two free video streaming services, Stickam and Ustream. This is to keep cost down and to protect the Sunburst Live Webcast content from being copied in a usable format.

Talent Agents & Resellers also forgive me for not updating yet my agent friendly site www.markandtherocks.com like have just updated www.marcdobson.com

I am in a rush to get this done before Sunburst so here's a wordy pitch to be edited later:

  1. Webcasting or Live Video Streaming is a cost effective way to expand attendance of any event via the internet. Anyone with a computer and broadband internet connection can view and interact.
  2. Historically events that have been live webcasted and or saved for online viewing later have shown greater attendance in following years.
  3. I handle all the details of the Webcast needs from Capture to uploading & hosting
  4. I am the onsite technician.
  5. I can provide multiple levels of webcasting quality in order to make the webcast cost effective

    - Simple package would be a one man operation: 3 camera shot, LIVE webcast and capture of content for online viewing later.

    * Additionally I can provide:
    - Myself as a Pre and Post Show Host to inform viewers of “what’s going on” at the event.
    - Online interaction of viewers with on stage presenter via text chat, webcam video and/or audio.
    - Professional grade Video coverage crew with big screen projectors either side of main stage.
    - Professional grade sound system with sound crew

  6. I can use email invitations and password control to limit who views the webcast
  7. I can charge viewers to view webcast.
  8. My specialty is LIVE music. I can work with sound technicians to provide online audience a near studio quality sound of live event.

What do I need to Webcast LIVE?

1. I can set up anywhere in the room, but prefer to be next to audio and sound techs.
2.15 amp power supply
3. Composite or S video feed from the cameras
4. Audio feed from the sound board.
5. Internet connection with a dedicated IP address and 512k outside of any firewalls.

Note: If I can test Wireless Broadband at the event location PRE show, then I may be able to decrease cost of an internet connection from a convention center. Wireless broadband works however I cannot guarantee stream quality as there are too many fluctuating variables. Wireless broadband will greatly reduce cost in some cases.

My angle on LIVE webcasting:

I’ve been entertaining and hosting  live music shows for 20 years. For most shows I run sound, lights and a computer on stage. I’ve been working with computer audio for 20 years and computer video editing for about 10 years.

I believe my experience and skill set as an entertainer and computer geek make me well suited for:

On Site, LIVE & INTERACTIVE Event Coverage, with or without Webcast Host & Live Music.

Thanks for making it to the bottom of this page, Marc.
